Overview

Female Proper Name Subject Agreement
To mark a proper name as female, add (f) after the name. The verb will then use feminine (3fs) conjugation instead of the default masculine.

The Rule

How to Mark Female: Add (f) after the name

Example:

  • Sarah → male verb (default)
  • Sarah (f) → female verb

Key Points

  • Add (f) after a name to mark it as female
  • Perfect (past): ה suffix on verb
  • Imperfect (present/future): ת prefix on verb
  • Without (f), all names default to male conjugation
  • The (f) marker is not translated - just triggers female agreement
