Complex word or Polymorphemic word

Overview

Complex word or Polymorphemic word

Multiple bound morphemes affixed to a free morpheme is a complex word or polymorphemic word. One or more symbols may be joined to a free morpheme, as a Prefix, Infix or Suffix, to create a Variety of Morphemes or Compound Words; Different Rules apply to different Parts of Speech and that is how you often can identify which part of speech it is. I will explain further in the grammar lessons.

אם means "mother" in Manakahthey, but you may find it hidden between prefixes or/and suffixes. You need to be able to identify this free morpheme, with all of its various possible meanings, in the midst of other letters that serve as whole words, before you can know what the word is communicating. It's not complicated, its just a new language to you.

Many of these grammar rules are rules for creating or reading "bound morphemes" and modifying free morphemes. The goal is to identify the free morpheme and affixes, within the bound morpheme.
